Regular Meeting

April 9, 2020

The Faculty Senate was called to order by G. Crouch, Chair on Thursday April 9, 2020, in FSHN T101 via Zoom at 3:30 p.m.   Fifty-five (55) members were present with thirteen (13) absent and seventy-one (71) nonvoting members present.

I move that the University Faculty recommend to the President and the Board of Regents that, effective at the closing dates for each graduating class, those undergraduate and professional students who have completed degree requirements and whose names remain on the “Official List of Degree Candidates” be advanced to the degrees set above their names as members of the classes of May 2020, August 2020, and December 2020.  Motion Carried

  6. Constituents’ Concerns.
    1. The Faculty Status Committee is seeking volunteers to fill vacancies for the career track faculty. If interested, please submit your name to David Turnbull.
    2. The Faculty Senate office will continue to monitor any constituent concerns submitted throughout the summer and will refer them onto the appropriate administrator.
    3. A heartfelt thank you to all of the committee chairs for their hard work and dedication.
    4. We want to acknowledge AOI members, Rob Baker, John Manwaring and Leslie Lightfoot for their assistance with the Zoom meetings.
    5. D. Turnbull acknowledged the hard work and dedication of Chair Greg Crouch.
