Regular Meeting

November 15, 2018

The Faculty Senate was called to order by G. Crouch, Chair-elect on Thursday November 15, 2018 in FSHN T101 at 3:30 p.m. Forty-Six (46) members were present with twenty-Six (26) absent and Four (4) nonvoting members present.

Minutes of  November 1, 2018 meeting were approved as circulated.

      1. Minor Change Bulletins #6 (Exhibit B) 
      2. The Executive Officers met with the Provost on November 8, 2018
      3. Memorandum on removal of the moratorium on the PhD in American Studies 
      4. The Graduate Studies Committee has approved the updated bylaws on American Studies, and these are available on the department’s website
      5. The Research & Arts Committee has reviewed and approved the 5-year self-study on the Institute for Biological Chemistry
      6. The Research and Arts Committee has reviewed and approved the request to close the Pacific Northwest Center for Mestizo and Indigenous Research and Engagement. This will now be known as the Northwest Collaborative for Mestizo and Indigenous Research and Engagement
