  1. Call to Order. The Faculty Senate met on Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Lighty 403 and via Zoom. Sixty-one (61) members were present with twenty-three (23) absent and sixteen (16) nonvoting members present. Call to Order by D. Call, Chair at 3:59 pm

      1. Formal nominations for the Faculty Senate Chair Elect position opened on February 3, 2022 and closed on February 15th at 5:00pm. The Chair-Elect ballot is now open to senators and will close on March 22nd at 5:00pm.

  4. Constituent Concerns.
    1. Follow up from Michael Neff on pending specific information from a constituent as it relates to last week’s previous workday concern and a note that information gathering is still in process.
      1. 2/10 Concern relating to Workday especially as it relates to grant accounts and access to working balances. Streamlining processes between administrators and faculty members to have clear account access and understanding of use agreements between various accounts. -M. Neff
    2. The University of Oregon has addressed the use of gender specific titles for retired faculty. Current binary language for faculty members should be reconsidered at WSU, and gender-neutral terms are suggested for the Faculty Manual
    3. Considerations on the announcement that the statewide mandatory mask mandate is expected to be lifted on March 21st – and the timing coinciding with spring break. How does the university plan to respond to the lifting of the proposed Statewide mask mandate changes? -C. Capan
      1. The University still has the ability to make recommendations specific to the needs of the institution even if the state-wide rule is lifting. -B. Tanner
