The Faculty Senate was called to order by Richard Zack, Chair on Thursday March 31, 2016, in FSHN T101 at 3:30 p.m. thirty-two (32) members were present with fifteen (15) absent and seven (7) nonvoting members present.

Minutes of March 10, 2016 meeting were approved as circulated.

      1. Discussion: A question arose asking whether this was adequate funding for the professors. It was noted that with existing faculty and two new hires everything would be covered.

      1. Discussion: A question arose on how this change was being communicated to the non-tenure track faculty? It was noted the memo is on the Faculty Senate website and that the Provost’s office will be sending out a notification to all NTT Faculty. It was also requested that each senator contact the non-tenure tract faculty in his/her colleges.

  6. Constituents’ Concerns.
    1. A concern arose regarding the changes to the summer session funding. It was noted that the Deans can use their discretion in disbursing those monies and all inquiries should be directed to them.
    2. A question arose regarding the Bullying Policy asking if the task force had more updates to be implemented in the BPPM. The Executive officers will follow up on this issue.
    3. A concern arose regarding the delay in scheduling courses in the “My WSU” system. It was noted the Registrar’s office will follow up on this.
