Composition
- Voting Members:
- The committee shall have eight members, and will aim for a balance of faculty track, college (including library), discipline, and geographic location.
- Ex-officio Non-voting Members:
- TBD.
Function
- Investigates, monitors, and advises on changes to faculty compensation as part of faculty governance;
- Makes specific recommendations to the Faculty Senate regarding faculty compensation polices or tenure-track and career-track faculty in the Washington State University system;
- Coordinates with the Faculty Affairs Committee concerning amendments to the Faculty Manual concerning faculty compensation;
- Maintains resources about compensation, including prior salary study investigations, available to faculty through the Faculty Senate website.
Additional notes
- Chair or co-chairs are elected by the Committee.
- Has representation on the Steering Committee.
- Responsible to: Faculty Senate.
- Reports to: Faculty Senate, the president, and the provost.
