Faculty Compensation Committee

Composition

  • The committee shall have 8 members, and will aim for a balance of faculty track, college (including library), discipline, and geographic location.ย 

Function

  • Investigates, monitors, and advises on changes to faculty compensation as part of faculty governance;
  • Makes specific recommendations to the Faculty Senate regarding faculty compensation polices or tenure-track and career-track faculty in the Washington State University system;
  • Coordinates with the Faculty Affairs Committee concerning amendments to the Faculty Manual concerning faculty compensation;
  • Maintains resources about compensation, including prior salary study investigations, available to faculty through the Faculty Senate website.

Additional notes

  • Chair or co-chairs are elected by the Committee.
  • Has representation on the Steering Committee.
  • Responsible to: Faculty Senate.
  • Reports to: Faculty Senate, the president, and the provost.
