Question about seemingly incomplete section of faculty manual

Within the faculty manual, Section III.D.5. Criteria for Review of Faculty, under the section “Operational Principles,” Subsection “Other”, The following text appears:

Section I.B.3 defines the career-track scholarly sub-track to include significant responsibilities in at least two(2) of the following areas: (a) teaching, (b) student advising, (c) research or scholarship, (d) creative activity, (e) outreach, (f) practice, (g) educational leadership, (h) administration, or (i) academic service. Is there anyplace one might go to see the portion of this section that is missing? Thank you.

Thank you for catching this omission. We have found the missing text and will add it to the online PDF versions of the Faculty Manual ASAP. In the meantime, here is the full text of the paragraph in question, with the missing text.

Other – Section I.3.B defines the career-track scholarly sub-track to include significant responsibilities in at least two (2) of the following areas: (a) teaching, (b) student advising, (c) research or scholarship, (d) creative activity, (e) outreach, (f) practice, (g) educational leadership, (h) administration, or (i) academic service. Aside from teaching and scholarship, rather than partitioning this multitude of potential activities into multiple workload categories, the category “Other” can be used for documentation of workload allocation. The “Other” category is reserved for career-track faculty within the scholar sub-track.
