University Parking & Transportation Task Force
There is a proposed revision of the parking rules under WAC 504-15, which may be found at the following website:

It is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2008. Relevant points include:

Authority has been given to a vice president for designating parking areas and closing areas to vehicular traffic.

There is a new Departmental Permit to allow department employees to use personal vehicles for university business. Different forms are valid at parking meters, service zones, orange, green, yellow, red, blue, crimson, and gray regions, as well as pay parking facilities.

Parking Fee Assessment: If a ticket was issued for someone who was on official university business and had not gotten a permit, a Parking Fee Assessment can be made in lieu of a fine. It is the maximum daily parking fee plus an additional fee.
