Land Use Committee

Functions:

  1. Has direct concern with University lands contiguous to the central campus and satellite facilities in the vicinity and informational interest in central campus developments.

  2. Reviews requests for land, maintains a process for considering use changes, and recommends assignments and management.

  3. Evaluates constraints and influences associated with the proximity of University and surrounding lands.

  4. Reviews matters of University Policy which impact land-related issues.

  5. Advises and consults with the Department of Capital Planning and Development on the establishment and maintenance of a comprehensive land inventory.

  6. Advises and consults with the Department of Capital Planning and Development on the establishment and maintenance of a long-range, land-use plan.

Composition and Tenure:

  1. Seven faculty and staff representing Crop and soil Sciences, Animal Sciences, botany, Hydrology, Landscape Architecture/Regional Planning, Natural Resource Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine, with four-year terms and a two-term maximum. (F-S)

  2. One graduate student with a one-year term. (G)

  3. Planning Administrator of Capital Planning and Development, who serves as secretary; Executive Assistant for Business Affairs, and Facilities Operations, Plant Services Supervisor. (X)
