Functions:

Makes policy recommendations to the Honors College Dean.

Makes final determination regarding reipients of the S. Town Stephenson Award.

Reviews Honors theses nominated for "Pass with Distinction" and determines who will receive this award.

Reviews nominations for Faculty Award and Dean's Award.
-
Serves as ambassadors and advocates for the Honors College to other colleges and departments.
Composition and Tenure:
-
Six Residential Instructional Faculty, with three-year terms, at least five of whom shall be experienced Honors College facuty. Members shall be broadly representative of colleges which participate in the Honors curriculum. (F)

Council members will be nominated by the Dean for approval by the Provost and Executive Vice President.
