Functions:

Formulates and recommends policies concerning library support services and operations.

Reviews and recommends library budget allocations and needs in consultation with the Senate Budget Committee.

Consults with the Director of Libraries and makes recommendations regarding related problems identified by the Senate or the University community.

Reviews and recommends library services and performance.

Reviews proposed degree programs for adequacy of library holdings and services.
Composition and Tenure:

Eight faculty selected with representation from the various areas of the University in mind, including at least one non-administrative faculty member with the rank of librarian. (F)
